Chaplin scores 14 as Little Rock downs Eastern Illinois 71-47
CHARLESTON, Ill. -- — Jamir Chaplin scored 14 points as Little Rock beat Eastern Illinois 71-47 on Saturday night.
Chaplin added eight rebounds for the Trojans (12-11, 6-4 Ohio Valley Conference). Bradley Douglas scored 14 points, going 6 of 10 (2 for 5 from 3-point range). Jaylen Crocker-Johnson was 3 of 6 shooting and 5 of 5 from the free throw line to finish with 11 points.
The Panthers (10-13, 4-6) were led in scoring by Corey Swayer Jr., who finished with 14 points and four assists. Tiger Booker added 10 points, four assists and three steals for Eastern Illinois. Dan Luers also recorded nine points.
Up next for Little Rock is a matchup Tuesday with UT Martin at home. Eastern Illinois visits Southern Indiana on Thursday.
