MOREHEAD, Ky. -- — Jeremiah Hernandez had 28 points in Southern Indiana's 80-73 victory over Morehead State on Tuesday night.
Hernandez shot 10 for 17 (2 for 3 from 3-point range) and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line for the Screaming Eagles (8-20, 5-10 Ohio Valley Conference). AJ Smith scored 18 points and added nine rebounds. Jack Mielke had 16 points and finished 5 of 9 from 3-point range.
Riley Minix led the way for the Eagles (20-8, 11-4) with 22 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Morehead State also got 14 points and seven rebounds from Kalil Thomas. Jordan Lathon and Drew Thelwell each had 13 points.
