MARTIN, Tenn. -- — Jordan Sears' 28 points helped UT Martin defeat Tennessee Tech 80-69 on Thursday night.
Sears added five rebounds and seven assists for the Skyhawks (20-10, 13-4 Ohio Valley Conference). Desmond Williams scored 16 points while shooting 6 for 10, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc. Jacob Crews had 13 points and was 5 of 14 shooting (3 for 7 from 3-point range). The Skyhawks picked up their sixth straight victory.
The Golden Eagles (10-20, 5-12) were led in scoring by Josiah Davis, who finished with 20 points. Tennessee Tech also got 15 points and eight rebounds from Diante Wood. Jayvis Harvey also had 12 points.
