Brown-Jones and Atwell each score 18 as UNC Greensboro beats VMI 85-79

LEXINGTON, Va. -- — Mikeal Brown-Jones and Donovan Atwell each scored 18 points as UNC Greensboro beat VMI 85-79 on Wednesday night.

Brown-Jones added eight rebounds for the Spartans (16-6, 7-2 Southern Conference). Atwell shot 4 for 12 (4 for 8 from 3-point range) and 6 of 6 from the free throw line. Keyshaun Langley was 5 of 13 shooting, including 4 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line to finish with 17 points.

Brennan Watkins led the Keydets (4-18, 1-8) in scoring, finishing with 21 points. Taeshaud Jackson added 17 points and nine rebounds for VMI. DJ Nussbaum also had 12 points and nine rebounds.
