Thompson's 21 lead FGCU over Florida International 68-65
MIAMI -- — Isaiah Thompson had 21 points in FGCU's 68-65 win against Florida International on Wednesday night.
Thompson shot 4 for 10 and 11 of 13 from the free throw line for the Eagles (2-6). Dallion Johnson scored 19 points and added six rebounds. The Eagles snapped a five-game skid.
The Panthers (2-7) were led in scoring by Jayden Brewer, who finished with 18 points and three steals. Arturo Dean had 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a Conference USA-record 10 steals. Javaunte Hawkins added 14 points for Florida International.
