SAN JOSE, Calif. -- — Keylan Boone scored 18 points as UNLV beat San Jose State 77-65 on Saturday night.
Boone was 7 of 10 shooting, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 6 from the line for the Runnin' Rebels (10-9, 3-4 Mountain West Conference). Dedan Thomas Jr. scored 16 points and added six assists. Jackie Johnson III finished 5 of 6 from the field to finish with 12 points.
Myron Amey Jr. finished with 18 points for the Spartans (8-12, 1-6). Alvaro Cardenas Torre added 14 points and six assists for San Jose State. Tibet Gorener also had 13 points.
Thomas scored 10 points in the first half and UNLV went into halftime trailing 39-32. UNLV outscored San Jose State by 19 points in the second half. Boone led the way with 14 second-half points.
