Thomas' 28 lead Hofstra past Hampton 63-59
HAMPTON, Va. -- — Tyler Thomas had 28 points in Hofstra's 63-59 win over Hampton on Thursday night.
Thomas shot 11 for 21, including 4 for 9 from beyond the arc for the Pride (14-10, 7-4 Coastal Athletic Association). Darlinstone Dubar shot 7 for 13 to add 16 points. Jacco Fritz finished 4 of 6 from the floor to finish with nine points.
Joshua Lusane finished with 13 points for the Pirates (5-19, 0-11). Ja'Von Benson added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Hampton. In addition, Jerry Deng had 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Thomas scored 17 points in the second half to help lead Hofstra to the victory.
