The Los Angeles Angels are finalizing a deal with right-hander Kyle Kendrick, Fox Sports is reporting.
The 31-year-old free agent signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves and was invited to spring training but was released on March 12.
Kendrick allowed 14 hits and 10 runs, nine earned, in only 3â…” innings in his failed attempt to land one of the last two spots in the Braves' rotation. He also walked three batters.
Kendrick has a lifetime record of 81-81 and an ERA of 4.63. He was 7-13 with a 6.32 ERA for the Colorado Rockies in 2015.
