A middleweight bout between Dan Henderson and Tim Boetsch will headline a UFC Fight Night on June 6 in New Orleans, promotion officials said Monday.
A light heavyweight fight featuring Daniel Cormier and Ryan Bader was originally scheduled as the main event, but Cormier (15-1) was pulled to replace recently stripped champion Jon Jones in a title fight against Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 on May 23.
Bader (19-4) was formally removed from the card on Monday.
"I look forward to fighting whoever wins the belt," Bader said in a text to ESPN.com. "I have been training hard and will continue to train hard. I'll be ready to step in if either one get injured in the lead-up to the fight."
Henderson (30-13) was already supposed to fight Boetsch (18-8) on the card, although the fight will now be scheduled for five rounds instead of three. A heavyweight fight between Matt Mitrione (9-3) and Ben Rothwell (34-9) will now serve as the co-main event.
UFC Fight Night will take place at the Smoothie King Center.
