A middleweight fight between Michael Bisping and Thales Leites will headline the UFC's first live event in Scotland.
UFC officials announced the matchup Monday. The UFC Fight Night event will take place on July 18 at SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
Additionally, officials announced a lightweight co-main event between Ross Pearson (17-8) and Evan Dunham (15-6).
Bisping (26-7) is coming off a unanimous decision win against CB Dollaway at UFC 186 last month. The 36-year-old Brit, who has never fought for a UFC title, has alternated wins and losses in his past nine fights. He will attempt to put together his first winning streak since 2011.
Training out of Southern California, Bisping missed most of 2013 due to injury. He returned from a one-year layoff in April 2014, when he suffered a decision loss to Tim Kennedy. He is 16-7 overall in the UFC.
Leites (25-4) is a surprise title contender in the middleweight division, having won his last eight fights. The UFC released the Brazilian in 2009 after he suffered back-to-back losses to Anderson Silva and Alessio Sakara. He has been brilliant since, winning 11-of-12.
Since returning to the UFC in 2013, Leites has earned wins against Tom Watson, Ed Herman, Trevor Smith, Francis Carmont and Tim Boetsch.
