Fresh off victories earlier this month, UFC light heavyweights Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins have agreed to meet Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
UFC officials confirmed the 205-pound matchup Tuesday. The bout will take place on the main card of a UFC Fight Night event.
Teixeira (23-4), 35, is coming off a much-needed submission win against Ovince Saint Preux on Aug. 8. A former title contender, Teixeira suffered back-to-back losses in 2014, to then-champion Jon Jones and Phil Davis.
Before the two-fight skid, Teixeira had won 20 consecutive bouts, including five inside the Octagon. ESPN.com ranks Teixeira the No. 8 light heavyweight in the world.
Cummins (8-2) is a former walk-on NCAA wrestler at Penn State University. He made his UFC debut under special circumstances in February 2014, accepting a fight against Daniel Cormier on 10-day notice. He lost that bout via first-round TKO but has compiled an overall UFC record of 4-2.
Fighting out of Southern California, Cummins collected a hard-fought TKO victory against Rafael Cavalcante at UFC 190 on Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro. The bout against Teixeira will mark his third trip to Brazil in four fights.
The UFC also announced a light heavyweight matchup between Tom Lawlor (10-5) and Fabio Maldonado (22-8) for the Nov. 7 event. A nontitle middleweight fight between Vitor Belfort (24-11) and Dan Henderson (31-13) will headline the card.
