The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will officially take place on Dec. 11 in Las Vegas, one day before a UFC 194 pay-per-view event at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
UFC officials confirmed the TUF card on Wednesday following an initial report by Las Vegas Review Journal. The promotion has not announced a venue for the event.
The UFC has typically booked TUF Finales, which are held at the conclusion of its reality series, around PPV events. Earlier this year, the TUF 21 Finale took place on July 12 at the MGM Grand Garden, one day after the same building hosted UFC 189.
The 22nd season features interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor (18-2) opposite Urijah Faber (32-8). McGregor is coaching a team of European lightweights against Faber's group from the U.S.
Unlike previous seasons, the opposing coaches are not expected to fight. McGregor is scheduled to challenge defending champion Jose Aldo (25-1) for the undisputed title at UFC 194.
A main event has not been announced for the TUF 22 Finale, although officials have confirmed a lightweight matchup between Joe Lauzon (25-10) and Evan Dunham (16-6), plus a welterweight matchup between Mike Pierce (17-6) and Ryan LaFlare (11-1).
