A rematch between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal will headline Bellator MMA's next major event on March 31.
Officials announced the heavyweight contest on Saturday. The event, which will air on Spike TV, will take place at a venue to be determined.
Jackson (37-11) is riding a five-fight win streak. He picked up a split-decision win over Satoshi Ishii in June in what was his only appearance of 2016. A former titleholder in Pride Fighting Championships and UFC, Jackson, 38, is on his last contractual fight with Bellator.
The Memphis native has fought for Bellator since 2013, with one notable exception. In 2015, Jackson accused Bellator of a breach in contract and re-signed with the UFC. He fought Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186 in April 2015 but returned to Bellator for two more fights under a legal settlement.
Lawal (20-6) is coming off a TKO loss to Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic last month. The bout took place during an openweight tournament in the Japanese-based promotion Rizin.
Fighting out of Coconut Creek, Florida, Lawal went 1-2 last year, including a decision loss to current champion Phil Davis. Before the 1-2 skid, he had won seven straight.
At Bellator 120 in May 2014, Jackson defeated Lawal by decision via unanimous scores of 29-28. Lawal later said he felt he won the bout.
