AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Detroit Pistons have signed Stanley Johnson, their first-round draft pick.
The Pistons took Johnson with the No. 8 pick last month. At 6-foot-7, 245 pounds, Johnson is expected to compete for playing time at small forward.
Johnson was the Pac-12 freshman of the year in his one season at Arizona, averaging 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 2014-15. That was after an impressive high school career at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California.
