Guard Kris Dunn, the No. 5 pick in last month's NBA draft out of Providence, was held out of the Minnesota Timberwolves' summer league game Monday in Las Vegas against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a concussion.
Dunn was hurt Sunday in a game against Toronto but hadn't indicated he was injured, according to the Star Tribune. He began having symptoms overnight.
"He got hurt. It's a concussion," Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau said, according to the Star Tribune. "He's going through the protocol and he's not playing."
Thibodeau said the Timberwolves, who have two games remaining this week, would reevaluate Dunn's status if he completes the concussion protocol.
Dunn, who has turned in one of the most impressive performances in Las Vegas, had 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the 82-80 loss to the Raptors. The 6-foot-4 Dunn scored 27 points against Denver on Friday.
Against the Raptors, Dunn made 9 of 17 shots but missed all four of his 3-point attempts.
