Veteran point guard Mo Williams said Wednesday he will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers for one more season.
Williams made the announcement on Twitter, writing: "Coming back. #onemoreyear"
Williams, who reportedly had been mulling retirement, is under contract with the Cavs for $2.2 million this season.
The 33-year-old player told former Cavaliers beat reporter Chris Haynes that 2016-17 undoubtedly will be his final season.
"This is my last year," Williams told Haynes.
In 13 NBA seasons, Williams has averaged 13.2 points and 4.9 assists per game. He has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
