Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson will not play in the team's next two preseason games due to a sore left foot, sources told freelance journalist Chris Haynes.
The Cavaliers are keeping Thompson out as a precaution, the sources said. He already missed the team's preseason opener to rest the injury.
Thompson has not missed a game in the past four seasons, and he started every game in the Cavaliers' run to the NBA title in 2015-16.
He averaged 7.8 points and 9.0 rebounds last season.
