It appears that Wanda Durant, mother of Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant, has a new, unexpected favorite treat: cupcakes.
In her first tweet since her son was booed Saturday during an emotionally charged trip back to Oklahoma City to face the franchise he left last offseason, Wanda Durant decided to embrace the "Cupcake" nickname Thunder fans mockingly bestowed upon her son.
After this tough & crazy weekend, I realized how much I love a GREAT!!! Cupcake. #LoveConquersHate pic.twitter.com/DXfGGpvF67

After a Thunder fan Photoshopped a pink cupcake on her head, Wanda Durant trolled the fan by telling him to make it a lemon cupcake next time, and adding that she loves him for good measure.
@tmerce16 @KDTrey5 @NBA next time make it lemon, it's my favorite. Mama Durant loves you❤❤❤

Following the harsh manner in which Durant and his Warriors teammates were treated in Oklahoma City (Golden State won 130-114), the executive chef at the downtown Denver hotel where the Warriors stayed Sunday night baked two dozen red velvet cupcakes for the team as a kind gesture, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
Durant, apparently unaware of the deed, was to be presented with the cupcakes after Monday's Warriors-Nuggets game to distribute to his teammates.
