Denver Nuggets shooting guard Malik Beasley is apparently a low-key slugger.
Beasley hit the diamond at the Colorado Rockies' Coors Field on Wednesday for UCHealth's first Healthy Swings Home Run Derby as a way to raise awareness about strokes. According to the Denverite, the derby will donate money to the National Stroke Association for every hit. Every donation will depend on the distance of the hit.
Beasley walked out hoisting a trophy loud and proud after slamming the farthest homer raising $3,850 dollars, the most money raised during the derby.
Beasley just finished his rookie season with the Nuggets.
