Washington Wizards guard Sheldon Mac needs surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon and is expected to miss 6-8 months, his agent confirmed to the Washington Post.
Mac suffered the injury in Sunday's preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and was carried off the floor.
The 6-foot-6 Mac appeared in 30 games with the Wizards last season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
