A sore left ankle won't keep LeBron James from the Cleveland Cavaliers' season opener after all.
Cavs coach Tyronn Lue announced that James will be in the starting lineup Tuesday night when Cleveland hosts the Boston Celtics and former Cavs star Kyrie Irving.
James arrived at Quicken Loans Arena almost four hours before the 8 p.m. ET opening tip to test his ankle and get treatment. Lue said the superstar feels "pretty good'' and his minutes will not be restricted.
"He's going to be tired anyway,'' Lue said jokingly. "He's going to take himself out.''
James, who had been a game-time decision, initially injured his ankle on the second day of training camp and missed four of the team's five preseason games.
The 32-year-old has never missed an NBA opener.
