All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors missed Tuesday night's 93-86 win against the Magic in Orlando because of a left thigh contusion.
It was the first game DeRozan missed all season.
DeRozan is averaging 23.7 points, 5.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. He also is shooting 46 percent from the field and 32.4 percent on 3-point attempts.
Toronto will play at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Raptors have a 5-game cushion over the Boston Celtics for first place in the Eastern Conference, and Toronto coach Dwane Casey has hinted that he might try to get his starters some rest.
