WASHINGTON -- Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is available to return to action Friday for Game 6 of Toronto's series against the Wizards.
VanVleet, who has been nursing a right shoulder injury, has logged only three minutes in the Eastern Conference first-round series, a short stint in Game 2. His status has been listed as day-to-day since, though he has been practicing with the team.
"I'm sure we'll get him in and see how he goes," Toronto coach Dwane Casey said in his pregame news conference. "The young man has been out for how many games and how many days now? I don't know what to expect, but we'll get him in."
VanVleet has been the primary ball handler for one of the league's most impressive reserve units this season. In 20 minutes per game this season, VanVleet averaged 8.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds with a true shooting percentage of 55.6.
The Raptors lead the series 3-2.
