Celtics guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game with eye inflammation when Boston hosts the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.
Irving suffered two scratched eyes as he and San Antonio Spurs guard Marco Belinelli attempted to secure a rebound in the fourth quarter of Monday's loss. Irving missed Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with inflammation in his left eye.
Terry Rozier started in place of Irving and scored 16 points in the Celtics' 115-102 win.
Irving, who led all Eastern Conference guards in All-Star voting results released Thursday, is averaging 23.1 points, 6.6 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game this season.
Forward Marcus Morris is questionable for Friday's game with a neck strain. He left Wednesday's game in the fourth quarter after an awkward fall.
"[I'm] sore as hell," Morris said after the game. "It feels like I've got a crick in my neck. Should be cool."
Celtics president Danny Ainge said he was hopeful the injury wouldn't bother Morris too long.
"But again, you have to usually wait until the next day to get a feel for how those things are," Ainge told 98.5 The Sports Hub on Thursday. "He was definitely sore, hit his shoulder and felt a twinge. Like a stinger or something like that. But I think he'll be OK. He's not certain for Friday, but possible."
The Celtics are also without big man Aron Baynes (fractured metacarpal), but Robert Williams (left groin strain) may be ready to return when the Mavericks and star rookie Luka Doncic make their first visit to TD Garden on Friday (8 p.m., ESPN).
