New Orleans Pelicans rookie Nickeil Alexander-Walker is out indefinitely with a right wrist hairline fracture, the team announced Saturday.
After experiencing discomfort during a practice on Thursday, Alexander-Walker underwent an MRI that revealed the fracture.
Alexander-Walker, 21, was drafted No. 17 overall out of Virginia Tech by the Nets and later acquired by New Orleans in a draft-night deal.
The rookie guard is averaging 5.1 points, 2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 41 games off the bench this season.
