The Gordon Hayward free-agency sweepstakes began at midnight Saturday, and the Miami Heat are doing everything possible to try to lure the All-Star swingman to South Beach.
Hayward is scheduled to meet with Pat Riley and the Heat on Saturday, the first day of free agency, and then Sunday it will be Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics' turn.
Miami welcomed Hayward to AmericanAirlines Arena with a banner of him already in a Heat jersey.

According to Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald, a Heat spokesman confirmed the banner was created by the organization to make Hayward feel more at home. Head coach Erik Spoelstra, Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow and Udonis Haslem will be part of the group that welcomes the 27-year-old free agent.
