Quincy Pondexter of the New Orleans Pelicans has had unfortunate luck with injuries over the past couple of seasons. In 2013, he sprained his MCL; the next year, he had a stress fracture in his right foot. And now he's still on the road to recovery after having two surgeries on his left knee. He hasn't played since the 2014-2015 season.
Needless to say, Pelicans fans are missing Pondexter's presence on the court. One fan voiced his concerns on Twitter early Saturday morning.
@PelicansPR @PelicansNBA Can we get more on @QuincyPondexter I mean anything??? Can dude run, jump or has he shot a ball???? ANYTHING MORE!?

To which Pondexter replied, reassuringly:
Umm I'm alive.. https://t.co/r2FGP2pnfp

At least he can make light of his unlucky situation. The Pelicans, on the other hand, probably don't regard Pondexter's absence as a laughing matter. They're currently 3-10 and could use all of the help they can get.
