News: 1 day agoOtton caught three of four targets for 25 yards in a 24-16 win over Dallas on Thursday.
Spin: Otton was active early, catching two passes on the Buccaneers' first drive. However, he logged only two more targets and one more reception -- an 11-yarder that helped set up a field goal in the third quarter -- the rest of the way. The 25 total yards were a low mark so far this season for the veteran tight end, who has caught between three and five passes in all five of Tampa Bay's games so far. That at least gives him a reliable floor, but Otton doesn't have a very high week-to-week fantasy ceiling.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Otton re-signed with Tampa Bay after spending his first four NFL seasons with the team. Since entering the league in 2022, Otton ranks first among all tight ends in snaps (3,530) and second in routes (1,838). That simply hasn't translated to much target volume (he is yet to clear 86 in a season) or goal-line work (11 TDs and 19 end zone targets in 63 games). In fact, Otton was the only player with 75-plus targets who didn't score multiple touchdowns last season. The 27-year-old has finished 25th or lower in fantasy PPG in three of four seasons and is a poor bet for his first top-10 finish in 2026. He's well off the fantasy radar.
