News: 4 days agoColeman (right foot/toe) isn't in uniform for Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers, but he wasn't wearing a walking boot, Alex Brasky of SI.com reports.

Spin: Coleman has been tending to a sprained right foot/toe that he sustained in the Bills' exhibition opener, which forced him to don a low walking boot since then. Shedding the boot is a positive sign in his recovery effort, but Coleman will join Khalil Shakir (undisclosed) and Tyrell Shavers (knee, active/PUP) as injured Buffalo wide receivers that won't suit up Thursday. Coleman will turn his focus to getting completely healthy for the team's regular-season opener Sunday, Sept. 13 at Houston.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: So far, so bust for Coleman, who has struggled to make an impact after being selected 33rd overall in the 2024 draft. After flashing in a situational deep-threat role as a rookie (15.0 aDOT), Coleman saw more high percentage looks in 2025 (11.2 aDOT). That led to a much better catch rate (from 51% to 66%), but a big dip in yardage (19.2 YPR to 10.9). Coleman has yet to emerge as a reliable, full-time starter and was even a healthy scratch at times last season. Perhaps the 23-year-old will make a Year 3 leap with Joe Brady now running the show, but he'll have his hands full overtaking DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir atop the depth chart. Coleman is only worth a late flier in deeper leagues.
