News: 1 day agoAllen rushed 17 times for 78 yards and brought in both targets for 26 yards in the Jets' 26-19 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Spin: Allen served as the Jets' clear lead back during Breece Hall's second straight absence due to a quadriceps injury, and the former put together a productive effort that featured a new season high in receiving yards. Allen has acquitted himself very well as the No. 1 option over the last two games, posting 194 rushing yards and a touchdown alongside three receptions and the 26 receiving yards he accrued Sunday. If Hall remains sidelined in Week 7, Allen will get a crack at a beatable Dolphins defense at home.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hopes were high for Allen entering 2025, but a slow start was followed by a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. During Weeks 1-3, Allen played 28% of the Jets' snaps and totaled 67 yards and one touchdown on 16 touches. The 2024 fourth-round pick has shown he can contribute as both a rusher (110 career carries) and receiver (32 targets), but he's simply not going to see the field much as long as feature back Breece Hall is healthy. Allen, 22, has some late-round insurance stash appeal, as he'd likely start over Isaiah Davis in the event of a Hall injury and would thus find himself on the flex radar.
