News: 15 hours agoDelp (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Spin: Delp likely sustained his injury during the Saints' second preseason game against the Rams. The tight end has not practiced since sustaining the injury and likely won't suit up for the Week 1 contest against the Lions. If Delp can quickly increase his practice participation before Friday, he could change his fate.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Delp was selected by the Saints in the third round of April's draft. Delp was busy during his final three seasons at Georgia (1,733 snaps in 42 games), but that didn't lead to much work in the passing game (no more than 24 catches, 284 yards or a 7% target share in a single season). Good speed and hands suggest there's some hope for him as a developmental piece, which is what he'll be in 2026 while playing a situational role behind Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant.
