News: 2 days agoSaros allowed two goals on 22 shots during Sunday's 2-1 preseason loss to the Lightning.

Spin: Saros has made at least 58 regular-season appearances with the Predators in each of the past five years, most recently going 28-22-8 with a 3.16 GAA and .894 save percentage across 59 regular-season outings during the 2025-26 campaign. He was relatively effective during Sunday's preseason opener while playing the entire game, and he'll likely see most of the playing time in the crease once again during the 2026-27 regular season.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Saros' numbers continue to be trending in the wrong direction in a major way, but he's always amongst the NHL leaders in games played, so he does have that going for him. His 59 appearances a season ago were second-most in the league, but Saros still managed just 28 wins along with career-worst marks in both GAA (3.16) and save percentage (.894). To be fair, Saros is far from the only goaltender in the league with the same issue, but with the Predators again looking like a middle-of-the-pack team, the Finn is looking like nothing more than a potential low-end No. 1 fantasy option.
