ESPN Fantasy Projection: Thompson's second season in Washington was even better than his first, which is stunning considering how much the Caps fell off as a team. He racked up 31 victories for a second straight campaign while posting a career-best 2.44 GAA and solid .912 save percentage. Thompson was named to the NHL's Second All-Star Team and won a Silver Medal for Canada at the Olympics. Washington loaded up this offseason, acquiring both Jordan Kyrou and Alex Tuch via trade, so Thompson should be in position to pick up even more victories in 2026-27. The 29-year-old is a legitimate mid-tier No. 1 fantasy netminder for the upcoming campaign.
