Spin: Caufield took over down the stretch, scoring the game-tying goal with just over nine minutes remaining before burying the OT winner just past the left post on a shot from distance. The 25-year-old winger's multi-goal night helped him pick up right where he left off, as he posted 51 tallies in 2025-26, with 12 of those being game-winning scores. Caufield has developed into one of the league's best goalscorers and will likely carry a 50-goal ceiling headed into the 2026-27 campaign.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Having just completed his fifth full NHL season, Caufield potted 51 goals in 81 games, joining Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon as the only two players to score 50-plus. His 88 points, plus-29 rating, and 29 power-play points were also career-best marks. Caufield's 19.8 percent shooting percentage was the highest of his career, so he's due some regression in that department, but it almost certainly won't be enough to severely impact him from a fantasy standpoint. For all the talk about Caufield's lack of size, he's missed a grand total of one game the past three years and that was due to illness. He's a high floor/high ceiling fantasy option, one that won't turn 26 years of age until early January.
