ESPN Fantasy Projection: Byfield continues to be a productive player for Los Angeles, although probably not at the level they expected when they took him No. 2 overall in 2020. Set to play next season at age 24, Byfield managed 24 goals and 49 points in 79 games in the recently completed campaign, numbers right in line with the prior two years. Byfield's average ice time was up considerably last season to north of 20 minutes per game (20:01), but that still wasn't enough to facilitate a true breakout. Anze Kopitar has retired, but the Kings have added Artemi Panarin to the mix and he figures to be the offensive focal point for a team that typically doesn't score much to begin with. Byfield is nothing more than a late-round fantasy dart throw.
