The 2026 Winter Olympics is upon us and thousands of athletes from all over the world have headed to northern Italy hoping for a taste of glory.
A total of 53 British athletes are taking part in this year's Games and they have collectively delivered the best return in Team GB history.
The current high water mark of five was secured at Sochi 2014, equalled in Pyeongchang four years later and has been matched again at the Milan-Cortina Games. Team GB's record five gold medals makes it officially the best Winter Olympics in their history.
