Alloa v Raith
Con trick sinks Alloa
An early Ryan Conroy goal secured a 1-0 victory for Raith Rovers over Alloa in a close contest at Recreation Park. The only goal came after just four minutes when Conroy grabbed his second in as many games to keep up Raith's 100 per cent record in the Scottish Championship. Conroy, a summer signing from Dundee, capitalised on indecisive goalkeeping from Alloa's John Gibson and rifled home from six yards. Alloa wasted numerous chances to draw level in the first half, with striker Liam Buchanan particularly culpable after putting two headers over the bar when well placed. The two sides traded chances in the second half, with Raith going close through Christian Nade and Grant Anderson, and Greig Spence missing another headed opportunity for Alloa.
