Queens v Raith
Doonhamers down Rovers
Goals in each half from John Baird and Gavin Reilly saw Queen of the South maintain their recent good form with a 2-0 home victory against Raith. The two teams exchanged half-chances, with Ian McShane threatening for the hosts and Liam Fox going close for Rovers, before Baird was set up by Mark Kerr for the opening goal after 22 minutes.Chris Higgins and then Daniel Carmichael had opportunities to extend the Doonhamers' lead but a Ross Perry header that flashed narrowly wide reminded them that the visitors remained a threat in the game.Mark Stewart then saw a shot strike a post but that was the closest Raith came to scoring.Reilly settled the nerves with 10 minutes remaining when he converted Derek Lyle's pass.
