Raith v Dumbarton
Tight match between Raith and Dumbarton settled with a Lewis Toshney header
Lewis Toshney's second-half header earned a 1-0 win for Raith in a closely-fought encounter with Dumbarton.Rovers continued their recent fine run despite a goalless first period, when both sides wasted good chances to take the lead.Mark Stewart was guilty of missing the target on more than one occasion, while Jon Daly also fired wide from a promising position as Mark Brown was left uncalled upon in the Dumbarton goal. However the deadlock was finally broken when the visitors failed to deal with a free-kick, and Kyle Benedictus' cross found the head of Toshney, who headed it beyond the reach of Brown.Kevin Cawley, a bright spark for Dunbarton throughout the day, almost provided a perfect cross for Eamonn Brophy to finish but the striker could not get to it as Raith held on to claim the win.
