Stiven Mendoza scored twice to help Chennaiyin earn their second win of the Indian Premier League season, 2-0 over Mumbai City on Friday.
Mendoza opened the scoring on the hour mark with his fourth goal in as many games.
Mumbai defender Pratesh Shirodkar's pass was intercepted by Elano, who fed Mendoza to score into an empty net.
Mendoza scored again six minute later when he headed in a rebound after Jayesh Rane's strike hit the crossbar.
