Thomas Didillon stars as 10-man Metz earn point against Dijon

Goalkeeper Thomas Didillon was the hero as he preserved a point for 10-man Metz in a goalless draw with Dijon.

Metz had missed an early penalty of their own when Turkey striker Mevlut Erding hit the crossbar with a spot-kick given after former Newcastle midfielder Mehdi Abeid was adjudged to have handled.

Home midfielder Cheick Doukoure was sent off for a second yellow card and Dijon were then awarded a late penalty, only for Didillon to save Frederic Sammaritano's effort.

Earlier, Didillon had pulled off a superb stop to deny Dijon midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou while Erding was denied by Baptiste Reynet at the other end.
