Borussia Dortmund conceded a stoppage-time equaliser but still managed to score a last-gasp winner through Waldemar Anton for a 3-2 win at Hoffenheim on Saturday that boosted their chances of making next season's Champions League with three league games left.

Anton slotted into an empty goal with seconds left to play for the winner, lifting Dortmund to sixth place on 48 points with their fourth win in the last five league games.

Dortmund are now three points off fourth place - the last spot to offer automatic Champions League qualification.

Their top scorer Serhou Guirassy slotted in after good early work from Julian Brandt in the 20th minute to bag his 17th league goal.

He could have added another 14 minutes later but Hoffenheim's Oliver Baumann easily saved the Guinea international's low and weak penalty.

Instead it was Hoffenheim who scored when Adam Hlozek controlled the ball with his chest and then fired in the equaliser

Dortmund recovered and Julian Brandt timed his shot to perfection, scoring with a one-touch volley at the far post in the 74th minute after Daniel Svensson's superb second assist of the afternoon.

Hoffenheim thought they had secured a draw when Pavel Kaderabek equalised in stoppage time but Dortmund kept up the pressure before carving out the winner from Germany international Anton.
