Wolfsburg have told Max Kruse that his behaviour must improve after being dropped from the Germany squad over an incident in a nightclub.
Kruse, who was recently fined €25,000 by the club after losing a large amount of cash in a Berlin taxi in October, is reported to have grabbed a mobile phone from a woman who was taking pictures of him while he was celebrating his 28th birthday.
Germany coach Joachim Low opted to drop the midfielder for the games against England and Italy after reports of the incident appeared in the Bild newspaper.
"I already clearly told Max Kruse what I expect from him both on and off the pitch," Low told the official DFB website. "I want players who are focused on football and the European Championship, also between the games."

The DFB said that the decision to drop Kruse was taken after talks with Wolfsburg, and Klaus Allofs, the club's sporting executive, told reporters that he fully understands Low's decision.
"We've told the Bundestrainer [Joachim Low] that we are not happy with the run of events in recent weeks," Allofs told kicker. "The headlines were just too far away from the sporting side.
"The bottom line is that it was time to send a clear message to Max."
Allofs did not rule out a club suspension for Kruse after the international break.
"We'll address this internally," he added. "Even though the public wants to see heads roll there will be no speedy tribunal. We've still got a few days until our next Bundesliga match.
"We've made it clear to Max that both VfL and our owners Volkswagen can't live with the situation. Yet, we also have commitments towards our players, we have contracts."
Coach Dieter Hecking insisted that Kruse is set to resume normal training on Wednesday, and that he's currently considering suspending the attacker.
