Ange Postecoglou has signed a two-year contract as coach of Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr, linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo at the Riyadh-based team.
The former Tottenham and Australia coach has been out of work since an eight-game stint in charge of Nottingham Forest last season.
The 60-year-old, who won five major honours during a two season spell with Scottish club Celtic, had been linked with the post if Scotland manager following Steve Clarke's resignation in the wake of the team's group stage exit at the World Cup.
But Postecoglou has now returned to management with Al Nassr, who sealed the Saudi title for the first time in seven years last season under Stefano Pioli, who was dismissed after less than a year in charge at the club.
A statement from the club read: "A new chapter. Mr Ange Postecoglou as coach of the first football team at Al-Nassr club. And that with a contract extending for two seasons.

"Our best wishes for success to him and his staff in their journey with the global club, God willing."
Although Ronaldo is Postecoglou's highest-profile player he will also be coaching the likes of Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman and João Félix.
Ronaldo, 41, is on duty at the World Cup with Portugal. He equalised from the penalty spot in the round of 32 against Croatia but had been substituted when Gonçalo Ramos headed home a late winner. Portugal survived an even later VAR controversy, which ruled out a goal for Croatia, to advance into the round of 16 where they will play Spain.
