Michael Carrick wants to get back to winning games and entertaining fans as Manchester United host Ipswich at Old Trafford and look to bounce back from their opening weekend humiliation at Hull.
The Championship playoff winners all too easily ran out 2-0 victors against last season's third-placed side at a rocking MKM Stadium last Saturday, sending shockwaves across the Premier League.
United now look to "make it right" at Old Trafford in the words of captain Bruno Fernandes, the newly-crowned PFA Player of the Year, against another promoted side in Sunday's home opener.
Ipswich arrive in the north-west buoyed by their last-gasp 2-1 victory against Sunderland and Carrick is demanding a much-improved display this weekend.
"We want a good performance and a win, obviously," the United head coach said. "The first home game of the season is one we really look forward to, and with the supporters coming, we're massively looking forward to the game.
"We had a setback last week and we want to get back to playing well and winning football matches. It's another tough game again. They obviously had a big result last week as well, so it'll be another challenge for us. But, yeah, massively looking forward to it."
New signing Carlos Baleba will be unable to feature days after his £70 million ($95m) arrival from Brighton due to an ankle issue.
Carrick says the 22-year-old midfielder may not be fit for three weeks, while Amad Diallo is another out of the Ipswich encounter through injury.
This will be the Tractor Boys' second visit to United this week after their under-21 side fell to a 5-0 defeat at the Progress with Unity Stadium in Leigh.
JJ Gabriel wrapped up the scoring with an exquisite finish as the 15-year-old marked his debut at that level with a wonderful scooped goal.
The forward, who does not turn 16 until October, made his first appearance for the senior team at the start of the month as a substitute in the friendly win against Atletico Madrid.

"I thought the boys played ever so well, actually," Carrick said. "A really good team, really strong team that we had, and you could see the quality. I really enjoyed the game.
"I'm really pleased with the boys, the way they went about it, the quality, the attitude. Everything about the game was really good, so really encouraged by that.
"JJ's one of the boys. He's obviously got a really big talent. He's trained with us quite a bit, he's getting experience all the time, he's physically adapting to each step that he makes, and we'll continue his development."
