A second-half goal from Bukayo Saka was enough to give defending champions Arsenal a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The victory means that the Gunners have made a strong start to the season following their comprehensive 3-0 win over Coventry City in the opening weekend.

Villa, meanwhile, have begun their campaign with a new-look squad and are still looking for their first point after their 4-0 hammering to Brighton last weekend.
There have been a host of departures from Villa Park this summer, with Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez's transfers last week taking their total outgoings to nine. The club have been active in sourcing replacements and signed Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea to fill the Watkins-shaped void late last week.
Among the players to leave Villa this summer was Ezri Konsa, who completed a transfer to Arsenal. The centre-back made his Arsenal debut against his former side on Monday as he replaced Cristhian Mosquera.
Fellow new signing Bruno Guimarães also made his Arsenal Premier League debut at Villa Park after missing the win over Coventry through injury.
The Gunners remain in the hunt for a new forward, with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli on the brink of moves to Barcelona and Al Hilal respectively.
