Nottingham Forest forward Igor Jesus has set his sights on playing Champions League football in the future, and said he does not know whether he will fulfil that ambition at the City Ground or elsewhere.
Jesus is entering his second season at Forest after scoring 16 goals and providing five assists in 52 appearances in all competitions last term, including seven goals during the club's run in the Europa League.
Asked by ESPN if he had already played his best football, Jesus said: "I am happy that it was my first year in Europe, to be able to be in the biggest championship in the world, but I also believe that I have been improving and I also need to improve.
"I know that's not enough for me, I know how far I can go. And I have been working every day so that I can increase my level every day, to be able to do a great job and to be able to one day also play the Champions League, the Europa League.
"I don't know if it's going to be here with Nottingham or if it's going to be with another club, which is my goal as well."
Jesus, who joined Forest from Botafogo last summer, stressed that he remains happy at the club and his ability to play in the English top flight.
"I am very happy," he said. "Especially because it was also a dream to be able to compete in a championship like the Premier League, which is a competitive championship, where you can increase your level not only as an athlete, but also off the field.
"I think that's one of the main things. And I am very happy, content and I hope to improve my work here more and more every day, so that I can increase my level every day."

Forest are still searching for their first win of the new Premier League season under Oliver Glasner, having lost 1-0 to Leeds before drawing 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.
They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Leeds.
Jesus has started all three competitive games under Glasner so far, and lent his backing to the Austrian despite their winless start to the campaign.
"I think we're on the right track. Now we have more time to work. The coach has been implementing his job well and I think that little by little we will fit in, not least because he arrived a short time ago and I am sure that we will do a great job with him," he said.
Forest next take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
