- Liverpool are on high alert with midfielder Adam Wharton expected to leave Crystal Palace in one of the next two transfer windows, potentially as early as January, reports TEAMtalk. Liverpool have a long-standing admiration for the 22-year-old, even though they didn't make a move in this summer as they prioritised strengthening other areas of the pitch. Palace had stood firm against any advances during the winter window as they were determined not to let him leave, but it is now highly unlikely that they will retain the midfielder.
