Alexander Isak has said he didn't regret his move from Newcastle United to Liverpool at any point of a tumultuous first season with the club.
Isak's deadline day switch to Anfield last year was for a British record £125 million ($167m) but he managed just three Premier League goals, while a broken leg ruled him out of much of the campaign.
After featuring for Sweden at the World Cup, Isak has already equalled last season's goal tally in the first four matches of the 2026-27 Premier League.
Asked by the BBC if he ever regretted moving to Liverpool, Isak said: "No, never. I would never think like that."
He insisted that the leg break which cost him much of his first season wearing red was "tough."
Isak added: "Anyone who had a long injury would know. But on the other hand, when you're in a good place and when you feel good, you don't really tend to look back because it doesn't really benefit you.
"So I'm just looking forward and feel really optimistic and excited about the season, and what it can bring to us."
Isak is seeking to return to the form which saw him score 23 goals in the 2023-24 Premier League season for Newcastle.

"Everyone knows that success for this club is winning trophies," Isak said.
"I want to score every game. Everyone is different. Some like to set targets and some don't. I'm the one that doesn't."
Liverpool, now under Andoni Iraola's management, have drawn three and won one of their opening four league fixtures. They travel to Iraola's former club Bournemouth this weekend.
