The Royal Spanish Football Federation [RFEF] has extended coach Luis de la Fuente's contract until 2032 after he led Spain to World Cup success this summer.
De la Fuente's previous deal was due to expire in 2028, after the European Championships in the United Kingdom and Ireland, but he will now remain in charge of Spain for an additional four years.
The new terms will see De la Fuente lead Spain in their defence of the World Cup in 2030, which they will co-host alongside Morocco and Portugal, as well as the European Championships in 2032, which will be split between Italy and Türkiye.
The agreement to prolong De la Fuente's contract as Spain boss was ratified by the RFEF's board of directors at a meeting on Monday.
De la Fuente, 65, was first appointed at the end of 2022 after Luis Enrique had overseen a round-of-16 exit to Morocco at the World Cup.
He has subsequently transformed La Roja's fortunes, leading them to the UEFA Nations League title in 2023, the European Championships in 2024 and then the World Cup, for the second time in the country's history, earlier this year.
Prior to replacing Luis Enrique, De la Fuente had enjoyed great success with the RFEF working with a range of the Mediterranean nation's youth teams.
His honours include the U19 and U21 European Championships as well as a Silver Medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.
Spain return to action this week for the first time since beating Argentina in the World Cup final in New Jersey in July.
They travel to London this weekend to take on England at Wembley in the first of four UEFA Nations League games as part of an extended international window.
They then host Croatia and Czechia before wrapping up the break with an away game against Croatia.
